Culham Science Centre, "Planning for the Future" e-book
Stakeholder ebook   We have put together this Stakeholder Communication e-book to share our vision for Culham Science Centre with our stakeholders, both internal and external, and explain how we aim to work to continue to develop the site as a leading centre of science and technology expertise and as a high tech business location offering high quality employment. In relation to our own business objectives we intend to ensure that the UK continues to play a central role in the development of fusion energy as a sustainable commercial energy source. Equally we want to continue to support the companies that are located here in their growth and development.

We have therefore been planning for the necessary changes to the site over the next several years. We have already made a start in clearing redundant and obsolete buildings and facilities, and adapting and changing the use of some of the existing buildings as requirements have developed. We also want to see new development on the site. To this end we are working with the local planning authority, South Oxfordshire District Council, on a framework masterplan for the site to guide its future development, in a way that will enable us to meet the challenges of the future within the various constraints that apply.

I hope you find the e-book informative and as plans progress, there will be further updates available on both the CCFE intranet and www.culham.org.uk.
